Feeling like Selena Gomez in Monte Carlo

I remember landing in Villefranche, France in the morning which is a little town by the Côte d'Azur, heading left is Nice and right Monte Carlo.

It was so beautiful with endless sunshine and blue everywhere. We spent the morning hanging out relaxing on the beach. The warm sand under my feet, some french girls in itty bitty bikinis looking like supermodels and I was channeling my inner mermaid swimming in the French sea. I laid under the hot sun turning a golden brown reading my book without a care in the world. The salt water detoxed my skin, I had an unbelievable view and I felt like a surfer with crisp beach hair (the best kind). We walked along the town looking into shops selling Italian cotton everything and Villefranche was showered with bright purple flowers. I bought the prettiest yellow dress which will always remind me of The French coast. We tried coconut ice cream which was delicious... so naturally we had another then we were off to see Monaco. First thought was I felt like Selena Gomez from that movie. Second thought was yeah these people were rich!!!! Monte Carlo was breath taking, clean, and full of luxury. The streets were lined with gold rimmed designer shops, a Laduree cafe, stunning white carousel and palm trees on every corner. The city was kept perfect. I saw Leonardo di Caprio's yacht- I mean I'm still bummed out I didn't see Leonardo di Caprio. The taxis were of course your typical Bmw, Audi and Mercedes Benz and I learned that only 3% of the population works in the city... straight goals. We visited the prince's palace which looked like it came right out of a movie, explored the botanical garden which was the most beautiful place I have ever walked around. I could not be more peaceful staring at flowers and green cactus plants. I saw the Hotel de Paris like from Selena's movie and went to the bathroom at the Monte Carlo Casino with Ferraris lounging around on the front lawn. Did you know that Grace Kelly was the princess of Monaco? The view was fantastic. It was this lux city, sky scrapers and tall glass buildings lined with yachts and bars along the ocean with these misty green mountains in the background. Our time was short and sweet in Monaco. And be sure to visit the aquarium there too because that jellyfish exhibit looked amazing.

Barcelona, Spain

The tan eventually faded but the memories we made in fourteen short days will last forever. I posted a few photos I took on here back in December but my computer is still flooded with them, so I thought it was time for me to write about the most amazing days filled under the sun, exploring the cobbled streets and eating my way through Italy. This is my Mediterranean guide. For Spain.

Barcelona was definitely my favourite city that we visited. I loved it because it felt like we were living there. We had a small apartment with two giant white beds in the city on this busy street filled with scooters, cafes and high end shops. I instantly fell in love with walking to the grocery store to buy peaches and yogurt or figuring out how the subway worked with all of the colours and lines spreading all over Barcelona. Soon we were riding it, off exploring the city. This was the best opportunity to people watch. Noticing the Spanish locals curious at how I was moving around with my music playing in my ears. I smiled at them. The Boqueria market was loads of vibrant, colourful fruits and vegetables which immediately made you happy. Any type of fruit that you could imagine was there. Walking through the Gothic quarter along the crooked stones, locals clothes lines hanging above our heads from flower balcony to the other and all of the buildings were old and full of history. Prancing through the Picasso museum where we walked through rooms and rooms full of brushstrokes of a man's imagination gone wild. We visited La perdrera, Gaudi's architectural masterpiece, La sagrada familia church which honestly looks like a drippy sandcastle, and parc de la ciutadella which was an endless sea of trees and greenery. Barcelona treated us well! Don't forget to get drunk on sangria if you ever visit. It was a whirlwind of culture, people, the best food I have ever eaten, cafes, ice cream every day and exploring. These are all the photos that I took!

A little ootd for you guys back from Italy though. This is one of my favourites, the red romper from none only than Zara!! This was in Positano, Italy when we were cruising along the Amalfi coast island hopping. One of the best trips ever!! Eating my weight in pizza n ice cream, reading on the beach, tanning under the sun, looking for seashells and spending time with my family. This romper is super light, easy to slip on and I love the bold red colour it makes me happy.
