Luckiest girl in the world

Just taped the polaroids of my friends and I taken at my birthday. This is my wall of memories and this Saturday night made the cut without a doubt. I feel like with all the bad things happening in the world like the wild fires in Alberta where thousands of people lost their homes, the 50 civilians killed in a bus collision in Afghanistan or how there is not enough supplies and resources for the Syrian refugees... I can't help but feel grateful all of the time.

It's finally summer. I finished my first year of university and I dived into many new things. I'm turning nineteen on Tuesday and I keep thinking to myself where did all the time go. I feel old now. My friends and I moved into our new house and I had an amazing birthday party on the weekend where we danced to G-eazy, ate ice cream cake, collected enough empty alcohol for a bottle drive and I got to catch up with friends from high school, elementary school, the pharmacy, new friends from this year and celebrated the night away surrounded by my favourite people. I've never felt so whole with the people I surround myself with. Friends are so great and I feel so much love. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

As for my house, I've been loving setting my room up, spending an hour taping up Polaroids, cutting out Aritzia bags to put on my wall, picking out soap at Lush, star gazing at the park with my friends, cooking together (taco nights) and buying fresh flowers. I'm choosing to stay in my happy bubble. I also started work at BlackBerry where I'm coding for the summer. It's a great chance and I'm looking forward to learn. Otherwise I don't have much else to report. Just excited for summer and adventures.
